Our story

A humble beginning, 1969

Rajdhani Electricals (India) was founded in 1969 by the late Shri Gyan Chand Goyal in the heart of the electrical market of Kolkata, India. He rose from humble origins and built the business on vigour, principle and conviction. His promise was simple: the finest quality wire at an affordable price.

Under his leadership, Rajdhani grew into one of the most respected names in the trade, with a dealer network that now powers homes and establishments across India. In 2008, the Calcutta Electrical Traders Association honoured him with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

From one founder to three generations

1969

Shri Gyan Chand Goyal founds Rajdhani Electricals (India) in Kolkata, India.

Rajdhani

Our first brand earns its name the slow way: dealers who keep coming back and electricians who recommend it.

2008

The Calcutta Electrical Traders Association honours our founder with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Century

To meet growing demand, we launch Century Wires & Cables. Both brands offer our complete range.

2024

We start our fibreglass product range: high-temperature fibreglass cables for motors, furnaces and heaters.

2025

We start our Teflon (PTFE) product range, for heat, oil and chemical-resistant wiring.

2026

We start our compensating cable product range, for thermocouple and temperature instrumentation.

Today

The third generation of the family leads the business, serving customers across India.

Both brands offer our complete range: house wiring, multicore, submersible, aluminium, coaxial, telephone, CCTV, speaker and specialty cables, made with electrolytic grade, bright annealed copper.
